Big Names For Lollapalooza Festival Argentina 2018
In the weekend of 16, 17 and 18 March 2018 one of the biggest festivals in Argentina will take place. Lollapalooza Argentina is since 2014 an annual festival that will be held in Hipódromo de San Isidro in Buenos Aires. Big names like Red Hot Chili Peppers, Imagine Dragons, Kygo, Pearl Jam, Wiz Khalifa and about a hundred more artists will perform during the 3-day festival on five different stages.
Lollapalooza is a musical festival, founded in the United States. Since 2010 the festival expanded to Chile, Germany, France, Brazil and since three years, to Argentina. (more…)
Cheap Flights To Argentina From 2018
Norwegian Air Argentina (NAA) starts from 2018 operating more than 150 new flights from Argentina. The government granted a 15-year authorization to carry out both domestic and international flights from Argentina to the originally Norwegian airline company. Travellers will now have more low-cost options since Norwegian Air Argentina is considered as a budget carrier.
The airline has announced they will carry out 73 domestic and 80 international destinations around the world. Destinations include major US hubs like Los Angeles, New York (more…)
Argentina Officially Takes Control of G-20 Presidency
Argentina took over the presidency of the G-20 for the first time during an event last week. During the event, President Mauricio Macri called on countries to “create basic consensus” to generate “inclusive growth”, while stressing that Argentina “inspires confidence” in the world because it goes “down the right path”.
“We want to be an expression of the entire region, we will demonstrate that we can join a global conversation without raising our voice in anger and without passively following the interests of others,” he said during his message of only 10 minutes. (more…)
Argentina: Best Golf Destination in Latin America
Argentina was chosen as the best golf destination in Latin America in Murcia, Spain, where the World Golf Awards were presented. Tourism Minister of Argentina, Gustavo Santos, stressed that “Argentina continues to demonstrate that it is a top-level international tourist destination, where visitors from all over the world can combine playing golf with stunning landscapes and excellent cuisine and services”.

Airline Introduces Flights between Chilean and Argentine Patagonia
On November 30, DAP airlines completed a new itinerary of flights to roll out between Chilean and Argentine Patagonia, helping to unite emblematic destinations mainly for tourism in these austral lands.
There are innumerable advantages that emerge for both sides of the border as they will now be more connected facilitating commercial exchanges, development, connectivity, better prices, integration and other benefits.

Mar de Plata Film Festival in Argentina Success
Around 120 thousand tourists enjoyed the long weekend last week in the city of Mar del Plata as film fans ate, drank and watched wonderful films from across the globe.
According to the Municipal Tourism Authority (Emtur), the holiday weekend had 9 percent more revenue than last year, especially by visitors attracted by the International Film Festival as well as the International Marathon, theater plays and recitals.

Argentina and Chile Present Proposal for New Marine Protected Area
During the 36th Meeting of the Commission for the Conservation of Antarctic Marine Living Resources (CCAMLR), Argentina and Chile presented the recent work they have completed on a proposal for the establishment of a Marine Protected Area (AMP) in the western zone of the Antarctic Peninsula and the Southern Arc of Scotia.
The proposal was presented for the first time in detail before the Scientific Committee of the Commission that is composed of 25 Member States and is the fruit of several years of joint work of scientists of the Argentine Antarctic Institute (more…)
Argentina´s Hornocal Mountain: Spectacular Site
The world is full of natural attractions that we must visit. One of them is the Hornocal Mountain, located in the city of Humahuaca, Argentina, characterized by its 14 colors.
Similar to Vinincunca mountain in Peru, this fascinating destination is located at more than 4 thousand meters above sea level and is notable for its calcareous formation of numerous minerals that, when eroded by wind and rain, left their colors on the slopes of the mountains. Swiss Airline Edelweiss Begins Swiss-Argentine Route
The Lufthansa Group announced that Swiss International Airline, through its associated airline Edelweiss, will start flying the Buenos Aires – Zurich route in November of next year.
Initially, Edelweiss will have two weekly flights that will depart from Buenos Aires to Zurich on Monday and Thursday, returning to the Argentine capital on Sunday and Wednesday.
The Lufthansa Group will thus have 9 weekly flights between Argentina and Europe, all of them departing from Buenos Aires, of which 7 will have as final destination the city of Frankfurt (more…)
Three Argentines Make Prestigious MIT´s “Innovators Under 35” List
Three Argentines have made the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s (MIT) Technology Review s “Innovators under 35” list, an award for 35 outstanding innovators each year. According to its website, the award recognizes “individuals whose superb technical work promises to shape the coming decades,” and rewards “ingenious and elegant work that matters to the world at large—not just to peers in a particular field or industry.” The recipients include Santiago Siri, Agustina Fainguersch and Florencia Montini, were selected among more than 3,000 applicants.
