Biggest dinosaur in history discovered in Patagonia

Tuesday June 10, 2014

Scientist think they have found the remains of the world’s biggest dinosaur ever. In La Flecha, a small village 250 from the Patagonian city Trelew in the south of Argentina, bones were discovered by a local farmer.

The remains, 150 remarkably intact bones, of seven dinosaurs were found but one in particular is bigger than any other skeleton humans ever found. The animal would have been 40 meters long and 20 meters high, to be compared with a 7-story building. The total weight of the animal was 77 tones, that is as much as 14 African elephants.

According to the palaeontologists this animal is a “Titanosaur”, a giant herbivore and that it was the biggest animal that ever walked on planet Earth. They will give it a name that refers to the region (Patagonia) and the people (the farmer) who found it.
