On Tuesday evening, the airline Aerolíneas Argentinas announced its direct flight to Belo Horizonte, which began last month with a daily frequency and occupancy of nearly 60 percent.
It was also stated that the flag carrier company will begin direct flights to Brasilia in August, and to Curitiba in December.

The Pope Francis tour of Buenos Aires is up and running for the first time! This tour gives visitors the opportunity to visit local sites associated with the new Argentinian Pope.
This Tour around Buenos Aires makes stops at the pontiff’s childhood home, the plaza where he played football as a youth, as well as his childhood school. The three-hour tour is by bus, and is offered by the country´s Tourism Ministry. They originally anticipated less than 100 people each week, on just two tours, however at this point more than 5,000 have signed up to participate. (more…)
The Rugby Championship, the tournament that started in 2012 replacing the Tri Nations tournament, with Argentina joining the three rugby powers of the South Hemisphere (New Zealand, Australia, and South Africa), will commence on it´s second year on 17 August, 2013 at ANZ Stadium, with a popular clash between the Wallabies and 2012 season’s winners, the All Blacks.
During the tournament each team will play a home and and away fixture against each opponent.

The people of Argentina are already excited about the start of Dakar 2014, despite the fact that its not set to start for a while. This event has already become part of the sports heritage of Argentina since its South American debut in 2009.
While presenting the next edition in Buenos Aires, in the Palacio Duhau, race director Etienne Lavigne was met by incredible enthusiasm. The attendees included journalists, Tourism MinisterEnrique Meyer, the Governors of the San Luis, Santa Fe and Salta provinces and Mayor of Rosario.

An ecclesiastical source in Buenos Aires has confirmed that Pope Francis will be making his first trip to Argentina as head of the Catholic Church in December 2013, not long after the midterm elections that are scheduled to take place in October 2013.
“It is still premature to discuss what places he will visit, but it is likely that he will be with us, his fellow countrymen, for the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, which is observed on December 8,” the source said to the private news agency DyN.
