On Monday 9 June 2014 the Argentinian national football team left the country to defend the honour of their homeland during the FIFA World Cup Brazil 2014. They flew from Buenos Aires Ezeiza (Ministro Pistarini) to Belo Horizonte in Brazil.
The plane that took them to Brazil, a Boeing 737-700 of the official carrier of the Argentine national selection; Aerolíneas Argentinas, was specialy decorated with some nice details. On both sides of the fuselage they’ve put a picture of the captain of the team, Lionel Messi, and other idols like Higuaín and Agüero. Next to the front door there is a logo of thenAFA (Asociacón del Futbol Argentina) and on the tail and nose there are other decorations including two stars referring two the two times (1978 and 1986) Argentina was the world champion. Over the wing they’ve put the slogan “Vamos Argentina”.
After they flew the team to Brasil and back home the plane will fly on regular routes of Aerolíneas. People who are travelling in Argentina have a chance they fly in this special plane.
Argentina plays on the 15th in Rio de Janeiro against Bosnia and Herzegovina, on the 21st in Belo Horizonte against Iran and the 25th in Porto Alegre against Nigeria. It is most likely that Argentina will be the winner in group F. Vamos Argentina, make us proud.
