According to FALGBT, Federación Argentina Lesbianas, Gays, Bisexuales y Trans, Marina Mironova and Oksana Timofeyeva, two lesbian women from Russia, married in Buenos Aires and requested political asylum afterwards.The reason they give is the persecution back home and they believe the Latin American country can give them a free and safe life.

Uma Azul, a two-month-old baby from Córdoba brings this matter to the surface. She was baptized recently. You may be thinking there is nothing strange about that, but what makes this case unique is that Uma´s parents are two lesbian ladies, Carina Villaroel and Soledad Ortiz. That is not all, even more special is that Uma has a famous godmother, the president of the Argentinian Republic, Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner.
