Fedecámaras, the Argentine Commercial Centres Federation reports that tourists spent almost 30 billion pesos in Argentina during last January, which is 25% more than January 2014.
Fedecámaras adds that the average hotel occupancy in whole January was 90% and 95% during the weekends. The cities Pinamar and Villa Carlos Paz had the best January in the last 25 years.
Most money was spent on food and drinks, restaurants, hotels, recreation, clothes and shoes and services and sales of local souvenirs. (more…)
The tourism sector in Argentina has a deficit of US$126,918,573 million for September. Argentine people spend more abroad and foreign tourists spend less in Argentina itself; actually, 31 % less compared to September last year!.
The significant increases of spending by Argentines abroad contrasted with this caution by tourists in Argentina whilst the total number of foreign visitors increased with 1.3 compared to last year.

The results of a survey conducted in forty of Argentina´s most important tourist destinations has revealed that sale of goods and services appears to have increased by 1.9 percent increase since 2012.
