This year marks the 160th anniversary of birth of Vincent van Gogh (1853-1890). The City of Buenos Aires Ministry of Culture is presenting a retrospective of 200 of the Dutch artist´s works, digitally restored and in full size, all reproduced in innovative formats.
“Van Gogh, My Dream Exhibition”, opened on July 12th, 2013 at Usina del Arte in La Boca, and highlights 200 of the painterʼs most significant works, seven 3D animations and more. The exhibition will showcase the work of one of the world´s most well-known painters in a manner that has never been seen before.
Van Gogh, My Dream Exhibition is the ﬁrst ever display of such a signiﬁcant part of Van Gogh´s works, both chronologically and full-sized. His artwork has been Van Gogh has been digitally re-mastered using latest technology. 3D animations have been produced with innovative stereoscopy.
Amidst the paintings there are displays of quotes from letters Van Gogh himself wrote. These quotes outline his artistic vision and dreams. While walking through the displays you´ll really get to imagine what Van Gogh was thinking while producing his art.
This exhibit includes seven 3D animations. With the chance to see well-known paintings in 3d, visitors get a fresh look. Suggested movements are brought to life, and different layers and details are visible. Van Gogh, My Dream Exhibition truly invites visitors to take the opportunity to peer into the artistic mind of Vincent van Gogh.
