Arguably, Mendoza looks like any European city, with tree lined streets providing welcome shade from the day’s heat. Plaza Independencia is the heart of the city with Sacrimento Street, which is a pedestrianized area, running through its centre. Running at right angles to Sarimento St. Are other major streets; 9 de Julio St. and San Martin Ave. Running parallel to it are Avenues Colon, Artistides Villanueva and Las Heras. The city also boasts many small parks (Plazas) such as Plaza Espana, Plaza Independencia and Plaza Fundacional.
During this city tour we will visit the administrative and commercial centres also experiencing the cultural, historical and recreational areas to help you to achieve the true flavour of this beautiful city. So that you can understand the real roots of the city, we will visit the Area of Foundation, Municipal Aquariuos, the Civic Centre and Residential areas before arriving at the Park San Martin. Here there are soccer stadiums, a zoo, the Universidad Nacional de Cuyo and also a monument to commemorate the cross of the Andes by San Martin. Climbing to the top of the hill Cerro de la Gloria we can experience magnificent views of the city. Before our return to the hotel, we visit the stadium Estadio Mundialista.
