The BAFICI animation film festival that is taking place now at the Centro Cultural de San Martin in Buenos Aires will feature an extensive selection of films both for adults and children.
The long awaited movie “Arrugas” directed by the Spaniard Ignacio Ferreras is one of the headliners. It centers on the topic of Alzheimer and not long ago won the Goya award for best animated film. Other movies are “Mundo Exterior”, “Plymptoon”, a collection of short movies by famous animator Bill Plympton, and the Russian sage of Masha and the Bear. Hayao Miyazaki, an established japanse anime director, will be present at the festival as well with his movie: “The Secret World of Arriety”.
Tickets can be purchased online or at San Martin on Sarmiento 1551 in downtown Buenos Aires. Prices are 10 for children and students and 20 pesos for adults.
