The full body of Buenos Aires

8 August, 2012

Wine Tasting ArgentinaArgentina draws the crowds from around the world to enjoy the rich culture, country, cuisine, spectacular art and architecture and of course the internationally acclaimed wine. As beautiful as the wine growing season of Mendoza is, unfortunately most of us avid travellers don’t quite have the time to venture out to the extensive vineyards in that stunning region. Luckily for us there a number of alternatives right in the city of Buenos Aires itself.

Fierro Hotel Wine Tasting:  If you are wandering around town on a Thursday evening with a question of what you do, head down to Fierro Hotel and enjoy the weekly wine tasting gathering. Groups come and enjoy the great selection of Argentinean wines in the Hotels intimate restaurant chosen by the president of the Argentine Sommelier Association, Andres Rosberg, and in-house Sommelier, Martin Bruno.

Lo de Joaquin Alberdi- Vinotecas Argentinas: This Palermo wine tasting establishment is a great place to take your friends and discover some new tastes from the Argentine countryside. They focus on different wineries or varietals and the friendly staff will be happy to help you pick a distinguished bottle to take home.

Time Out Walking Wine Tour: A bit of a civilized “wino pub crawl”. You will tour throughout the Palermo neighborhood to discover more exotic full bodied wines from Mendoza and beyond.

Anuva Wines: Tapas and boutique wines, not a bad way to get into the swing of Buenos Aires. The Anuva wine tasting offers a number of different wines and also a shipping service to the USA if the taste is irresistible to the keen connoisseur.
