For general information on the climate in Argentina see: When to go. The climate in Buenos Aires is fairly good all year round. Sun-seekers will find the months of June-September a little disappointing as the weather can be extremely variable. It can get quite cold during these months (averages of 15°C during the day, 9°C during the night), but the temperature is rarely uncomfortable. Having said that, it's recommended that you bring a scarf and warm jacket/fleece for the winter months of the southern hemisphere (specialist cold-weather clothing is required for the south of Argentina). The weather starts to improve in October and the months December and January are the hottest and most humid (averages of 27°C during the day, 20°C during the night). You will need plenty of protection from the sun during the summer in Argentina. There are very rarely prolonged periods of bad weather in Buenos Aires and you will enjoy blue sky and sunshine most days.
